Can not create C:\Programme\Winamp\winamp.m3u.
Getting crazy,

use mexp now for the last 4 years and didn't have any major problems.

But now following:

Uninstalled Winamp and deleted the hole program folder. Rebooted XP and Installed Winamp and mexp again.

Now I can only work with mexp as long as I don't start an file from within the file manager. After I do that and want to choose the next song from mexp, following error appears: "Can not create C:\Programme\Winamp\winamp.m3u.".

Tried it now with Winamp 5.531 full, Winamp 5.531 lite, the old mexp setting and with new setting but now improvements at all.

Can anyody help me?

After struggling for a while I figured out that it runs with winamp 2.95 perfectly. And as I only need winamp to run mexp I'm fine.

But thanks for the tip - I'll keep it in mind. Maybe I like to install winam5.xx later on.

Possible Workaround
I went into MEXP Preferences - Settings - Playlist. I checked Control Winamp playlist. This got rid of the error. That made the MEXP playlist messed up for me though. I couldn't click on stuff I loaded. Then I turned on Focus playing song on change and checked continuous play. Now everything seems to work good.
